Country-pop star Taylor Swift wins her “Second Artist of the Year” award in three years at Sunday night’s American Music Awards out of Los Angeles, beating Adele, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Lil Wayne for the honors.
“This is like one of the craziest things that has ever happened to me,” said the 21-year-old star, who claimed the high honors in 2009, as well.
Swift also won the awards for “Favorite Country Female Artist” and “Favorite Country Album”.
With Sunday’s three wins, Swift now has a total ten awards from the annual ceremony. Earlier this month, she won her second “Entertainer of the Year” award at the Country Music Association Awards.
“I had one of the most magical nights with my friends tonight!” Swift tweeted after the show. “Hopping on a redeye to play our last 2 shows at Madison Square Garden!!”
