Music Executive John Atterberry, Age 40, Dies From Street Shoot-Out Rampage! [Video] + [Photos]

John Atterberry, 40, was hit by bullets in his face and upper body while driving his Mercedes Benz coupe near Hollywood’s busy intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street on Friday.

The gunman, 26-year-old Tyler Brehm, was killed by police after a rampage in which he fired an estimated 20 bullets from a .40-caliber handgun in the air and at motorists.

Brehm reportedly shouted “Kill me” and “I want to be killed!” according to police, who said they fatally shot Brehm after he pointed his gun toward them.
Atterberry’s career achievements included a stint as vice president for Death Row Records; as chief financial officer for the VIP Group, a real estate brokerage firm; and for fashion retailers Cross Colours and Karl Kani.

    John I remember you as a little child when I would come to visit your sister on Parkglen and how we would play and you thought I came to visit you..I will miss you and I know God needed a producer to handel Michael and those others that make misic in heaven well God sure takes the best of the best and that you were.. as a man a friend and a son and brother rest in peace until our souls touch again … GONE TO SOON..     John, you were one of classiest and most humblest brothers that I ever known. Especially dealing with people in this industry who think they're better than. But not you John. You always kept it "REAL". And that's rare in this business. We will truly miss you bro. GOD Bless you and ypur family. RIP "Big John", a great person always & forever…
