Former WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw is accused of firing shots at her ex-girlfriend/WNBA Tulsa Shock player Jennifer Lacy, while smashing Lacy’s Range Rover’s car window, last Tuesday.
After the attack, a warrant was issued for Chamique’s arrest, where she was charged on Thursday with Aggravated Assault, Reckless Conduct and Criminal Damages in the Fulton County Police Dept. in Atlanta.
According to reports, Jennifer and Chamique were involved in a four year relationship, but in 2011 Jennifer decided to split from the Atlanta Dream player.
So, on Tuesday, Jen and Cham ran into each other at a Atlanta gym with a quick hi and bye. As Jennifer was leaving the gym, she noticed Chamique was following her Range Rover, so she decided to drive to a friend’s house.
Upon arrival, Chamique hopped out of her car with a baseball bat and began to smash the windows of Jen’s Range Rover. But that wasn’t all, Cham later took out a shot gun and fired into the truck before leaving the crime scene.
After the incident, Jen says Chamique desperately tried to contact her but she didn’t respond because she feared for her life. She also claims that Cham battles with Clinical Depression in which she tried to commit suicide back in 2006.
However, Jennifer issued a statement through her Tulsa Shock Reps saying:
“I want to thank my family, friends, fans and Tulsa Shock family for their concern during this difficult time. And I have never felt more love from my fans in supporting me.”
Chamique was released from Jail on Friday on a $10,000 bail, and now wears an ankle monitor. An Atlanta judge ordered the female baller not to contact Jennifer and is now facing two counts of Aggravated assault and damaging property, and one count of possession of a fire-arm.
Cham returns to court on November 30th.
