Kanye West DECLINES Grammy Appearance After Losing “Best New Artist” To Maroon 5 & Not Getting Nominated For “Album of the Year”

Rapper Kanye West is pissed off at the Grammy board after losing “Best New Artist” to rock band Maroon 5 and his “When Watch The Throne” and “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” not being nominated for “Album of the Year.”

During his special seven screens experience and three night New Years Eve performance at the Revel Resort & Casino in Atlanta City over the weekend, the rapper aired out his frustrations and vowed to not appear at the 2013 Grammys. Here’s what he had to say:

“I have 18 Grammy’s with my homies John Legend and Common,” while reminiscing on Several bad moments at the Grammys.

I lost to Maroon 5…“I love Maroon 5, but you know when I lost Best New Artist to Maroon 5 — you know what I mean…” He shared before repeatedly cutting himself off to another bad moment. 

“When Watch The Throne or [My Beautiful] Dark [Twisted] Fantasy, neither of them got nominated for Album of the Year — or when “Niggas in Paris” didn’t get nominated for Record of the Year.“ 

He then finished with, “So don’t expect to see me at the Grammys this year, you know what I mean?”

Plus, the “Clique” rapper is also nominated for “Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song & Best Rap/Song Collaboration.”
