Countdown to the Oscars: My Picks for Best Actor Nominee in a Leading Role

Seth MacFarlane is set to host The 85th Academy Awards and is said to be the biggest night for Hollywood. So, there’s bound to be surprises, glitches and fashion misses.

Here are my two favs for Best Actor nominee in a leading role:

Denzel Washington in “Flight”

In this epic action flick, an airline pilot is hailed a hero for saving a flight from doom, but an investigation into the crash reveals something disconcerting. This thriller stars Academy award winner Denzel Washington, Don Cheadle, John Goodman and Melissa Leo and is directed by Academy Award winner, Robert Zemeckis.

And Daniel Day-Lewis in “Lincoln”

A Steven Spielberg film based on the story of President Lincoln’s triumphant attempt to pass a Constitutional amendment to outlaw slavery. This would be the fifth Academy award for Daniel Day-Lewis.

Good luck to my favorite nominees!

I've heard Argo is pretty good…Ben Affleck FTW.
