With the release of her “Roar” music video, pop singer Katy Perry is making a few rounds and raffling a few feathers in the mix.
On Friday, Perry, who stopped by Good Morning America to reveal her new album cover for Prism (dropping Oct. 22), apparently decided to use the appearance as an opportunity to throw shade at Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga.
After host Robin Roberts told Katy she “rocked it at the VMAs” with her performance near the Brooklyn bridge, Katy replied:
“Honestly, I thought that my performance was the most scandalous because I kept my clothes on.” Basically shading the hell out of Miley and Gaga who flaunted their bikini body in some racy outfits during their VMA performances last month.
According to Oh No They Didn’t:
“Either way, Miley’s definitely heard worse.
Kelly Clarkson tweeted about the performance, calling Miley and Gaga “#PitchyStrippers.” Brooke Shields said Miley was “a bit desperate,” and Ross Matthews told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Miley seemed like “the drunk girl who doesn’t know when to leave the party.”
So yeah, Katy’s semi-diss probably won’t even register with Miley, who now says she made VMA history.
Roar music video…anyone?:
