Chris Brown Assault Charge Reduced From Felony Assault to Misdemeanor + Breezy Released From Jail!

Chris Brown isn’t just throwing money at his high priced lawyer for nothing!

The 24-year-old singer’s lawyer has managed to convinced a Washington DC judge to reduce Chris’ felony assault charge to a Misdemeanor. Brown was arrested over the weekend for reportedly punching a Maryland-native named Parker Isaac Adams outside the W Hotel in D.C.

20-year-old Adams told TMZ on Sunday that he had to seek medical attention after the incident occurred and may need to do surgery on his broken noise. He claims Breezy hurled homophobic slurs at him during the beat down.

Another man, Christopher Hollosy, also was charged with felony assault in the altercation.

According to Washington’s ABC7:

Brown and Hollosy, 35, were being held pending a court hearing Monday. The two men are not named in the police report, which refers only to “S1″ and “S2″ and their ages and physical descriptions. But police department spokesman Anthony Clay confirmed Monday that “S1″ in the report’s narrative referred to Brown, while “S2″ referred to Hollosy.

Brown’s arrest could affect his probation in the Rihanna assault case. Brown is due back in court Nov. 20 in Los Angeles to update a judge on his probation.

Prosecutors could seek a revocation of his probation or ask a judge to impose additional penalties.
Steve Cron, a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney, said prosecutors and a judge may wait to see how the Washington case plays out before taking any action against Brown.

“Just the fact that some guy says ‘he hit me’ doesn’t mean he’s in violation” of his probation, Cron said.
The potential penalties would depend on the exact wording of Brown’s sentence, he added.

Breezy’s mother and family members were also at this morning’s hearing along with Trey Songz. The singer was released a few hours ago!
