Therapy is not rehab– but at-least its good step in the right direction in saving their marriage.
Reality star Khloe Kardashian and former Clipper baller Lamar Odom reportedly attended a couples therapy session in Beverly Hills last Friday to try and save their troubled marriage.
UsWeekly reports: “The couple spent two hours chatting with the marriage counselor, and had this to say; ‘It was just a very emotional situation.’“
The site adds, “Khloe and Lamar, who drove to the counselor’s office in separate cars, spoke about all of their issues and what needs to be fixed before they can move on as a couple.”
An insider tells the mag, “Khloe still loves and cares for Lamar. But healing will take a long time.” Another source says, ‘[Lamar] is clean and has gained 20 pounds. He’s doing so much better.”
“I’m at war with myself,” Khloe told E!’s cameras about her relationship. “I want to help him but maybe sometimes the best help is stepping away.” And, in the final line on KUWTK’s season 8 ender, a devastated Khloe commented, “I just feel like I might need some more help so I have to kind of tell my family.”
On Sunday night’s episode, Khloe poured her heart out to brother Rob Kardashian, who had been living with his sister and Lamar and privy to their marital woes.
Also, the HollywoodLife is reporting that Odom is currently living with his father-in-law Bruce Jenner, who will be watching over him until the couple work out their differences.
“Bruce, who has said that he loves Lamar, believes he has a ‘good soul,’ has been telling friends that he’s clean and sober.”
“Everybody’s got s**t in their life and they need to learn how to deal with it,” Bruce reportedly tells one friend. “Lamar didn’t deal with his very well.”
Bruce also believes that he can help Lamar turn his life around — and it sounds like he’s already having a positive impact on the former basketball star. Lamar has been working out constantly and he is still hoping to rebuild his NBA career, sources close to him and Bruce tell TMZ.
