Beyonce‘ Knowles-Carter have teamed up many other celebrities like LeBron James, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Anne-Marie Slaughter, Eva Longoria, Hillary Rodham Clinton and more for a special project with the Shriver Report.
Released on Saturday, Knowles based her essay on ‘Gender Equality’ calling it a myth. She explained that women should be able to work in the field because of their qualifications and not their gender.
According to Shriver Report:
The report is a groundbreaking investigation into the millions of women who are doing it all and barely scraping by, struggling to provide and parent in a nation that hasn’t kept pace with the modern realities of their lives. It combines research, analysis and ideas from the nation’s top academic institutions and think tanks, essays by leading thinkers, stories of real women struggling with our modern economy, and a comprehensive poll.
The essay is now free for download until January 15th. Check out Beyonce’s full essay below:
Beyonce and her sis Solange are shutting down a fancy restaurant in New Orleans Saturday night to throw their mom Tina an epic 60th birthday party — we’re told costing at LEAST $100,000 — but the hilarious part … Bey got second-billing on the invite!
It’s a black tie masquerade-themed event, and Beyonce and Solange are hosting it at the pricey Muriel’s Jackson Square in the Big Easy (we hear the turtle soup is beyond).
And under the category “Charity begins at home” — Beyonce allowed Solange to get TOP BILLING!
