Independent website reports that Cowell was believed to be anxious to have Walsh return – but he however trusts the former Westlife manager to be his eyes and ears on the show.
Bosses at ITV were also worried that changing the panel completely between series would alienate viewers. While former judges Gary Barlow and Sharon Osbourne will not be returning — former Pussycat Doll lead singer Nicole Scherzinger is still yet to commit to another series.
Just a few minutes ago, Simon and producers of the show released the following statement:
“ITV and the producers have not decided on the rest of the judging panel quite yet. You’ll just have to wait and see.”
“It’s been three years since I last judged the competition and I’m excited to find a global superstar again.”
