It’s safe to say the LGBT community is nothing but accepting of Caitlyn Jenner, who was welcomed by screams of “we love you” during a rooftop party celebrating gay pride in NYC on Sunday (June 28th).
Jenner, 65, made quite the grand entrance at the PHD Rooftop Lounge inside the Dream Downtown Hotel in Chelsea, where openly trans actress Candis Cayne was doing a special performance.
She was also in tow with the E! cameras and a few girlfriends, filming for her upcoming “I Am Cait” docu-series set to air July 26th.
At one point, Cayne dedicated a song, “I Am a Woman,” to Jenner, and later, Caitlyn returned the favor by making it rain cash all over Cayne while she was dancing. An insider tells ET, “You could tell she was comfortable in her own skin and appreciating the spirit of the event.”
Also, Cait — who wore a white flowy ensemble — did have a security team with her, but according to the party promoters, everyone was respectful and gave her enough space to enjoy the show.
